Brain Development Therapy

Imagine having a child that can’t sit still for even one minute, a child who can’t make it through a school week without a call home from the teacher, a child who will not go to sleep at night without temper tantrums.

Imagine being an adult who just can’t focus on tasks that need to get done. Concentration on single tasks is a challenge. You are not getting ahead because you just can’t stay focused.

Now imagine being a senior and experiencing memory loss. Your doctor tells you that you have early dementia or Alzheimer’s. Your gait and balance is declining. You just don’t have the concentration or recall that you used to have.

Brain Development Therapy offers hope to all the people described above and many more. Brain Development Therapy might just be the solution you have been searching for!

Explanation of Program:

Brain Development Therapy (BDT) is a cutting edge, multi-modality program for the treatment of a myriad of Neuro-Motor issues. Whether the patient is a child who has ADD/ADHD, Autism, Asperger’s, or other learning and behavioral problems and/or adult with problems with concentration, memory, sleep apnea, dementia, Parkinson’s, TBI, stroke, etc., BDT can help! BDT uses the following modalities to help with the above issues:

  • The Listening Program – A psychoacoustical mode of therapy that uses modified classical music and a bone conduction system to train the brain, the autonomic, and central nervous systems to process sound more efficiently. It also improves the vestibular processing system, which is responsible for balance, posture, equilibrium, control of muscle movement and body awareness. The bone conduction system supports the development and refinement of receptive and expressive communication. The Listening Program also provides cochlear and vestibular training for balance and improved gait.
  • Interactive Metronome – The IM system is a training program that improves attention, concentration, motor planning, and sequencing through the use of synchronized whole body exercises performed to a precise computer-generated beat. As part of the IM system, we will be offering Gait training, which involves instruction in walking, with the equipment to aid in ambulation and coordination.
  • BrainBuilder Training Program – BrainBuilder is a computer based series of visual, auditory and focused exercises which improve memory, concentration and recall speed. Counseling as well as this program has been shown to improve children and adults diagnosed with sensory integration issues, autism spectrum, attention deficit, non-verbal learning disorders, poor memory, balance and gait issues, sleep apnea and insomnia, poor cognitive function, Alzheimer’s and dementia.
  • Wellness Restoration Centers Nutrition Program – Whether it is working with a child with ADD/ADHD or an adult with hypertension or type II diabetes, Wellness Restoration Centers has a specialized nutrition and counseling program for every health, illness and behavioral need.
